Wii Menu 3.0: An Excited One Is Me

So yesterday, we received a lovely Wii Menu update, bringing our firmware to 3.0.

Thankfully, we now have a clock (which was sorely missing), faster load times between Channels, a renovated Shop Channel (which was needed, and badly), display of current weather conditions in the Forecast Channel icon, scrolling headlines for the News Channel, revisions to the Address Book, Calendar, Blue Light, Message Board icon, and tons of other little tiny things.

Like USB keyboard support. Say what? Apparently, this functionality is now available for the Shop Channel, Message Board, and Wii Settings menu. Hopefully, we'll be seeing an update for the Internet Channel soon that allows this functionality there, too.

Oh, and Nintendo decided to show some hate for mod-chips. And Freeloader doesn't work anymore.

Oops. Doesn't look like that's getting fixed.

What do ya'll think about this update (assuming anyone is reading this)? And am I the only one who has noticed that, although returning to the Wii Menu is faster, the Message Board takes some time to detect already existing letters?
